A number of these watches were reunited with the original owners who were delighted to get them back.

A number of the high value watches located were linked to organised crime, with one of the headline recoveries being a Patek Philippe model with a market value in the region of £40,000. Following an arrest in Cologne, German police were able to trace this stolen watch back to a claim handled by LMG and take steps to reunite it with its original owner some three years after the original theft. The customer was overjoyed to receive his original timepiece, which carried huge sentimental value.

Sometimes the process can be quite lengthy if the items are linked to ongoing police investigations, however long after the original claim is settled LMG continue to monitor the market in an attempt to trace rightful owners and assist in reuniting the watches as quickly and painlessly as possible.
